Feb-Mar 2003

Notizen: The sky was very bright this night, February 13. In 10 minute shots of NGC 1055 the sky background saturated the chip, so I changed to 5 min exposures instead of the usual 10 minutes for NGC 3079. NGC 3079 is a somewhat distorted looking SBc galaxy in Ursa Major. Taken from the middle of Berlin with an 8" LX200 at f/4, MX716 camera, 31x5 minutes for L, 2x5 minutes (at 2x binning) each for RGB.
